Anne Hathaway to Margot Robbie, best dressed stars at SAG Awards 2024

A few months ago, SAG-AFTRA (Screen Actors Guild-American Federation of Television and Radio Artists) was on strike over a labour dispute. After getting their demands agreed upon, the SAG Awards are back this season with Hollywood stars offering us the best of red-carpet fashion. Let’s take a moment to appreciate some of the best-dressed celebrities of the night.

Brie Larson was perhaps among our favourites — bringing back millennial pink into the conversation in her crop-top and skirt combo from Atelier Versace. She accessorised the monochromatic ensemble with simple jewellery. Her wavy hairdo and rosy makeup complemented the look. Larson, nominated for Best Actress in a Limited Series for Lessons in Chemistry, didn’t take home the trophy but surely took away our hearts.

Selena Gomez, too, dressed up in a glistening white Atelier Versace dress. Although she lost her nomination for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Series for Only Murders in the Building, her sparkling look was a definite winner.

Meanwhile, Margot Robbie wore a black Schiaparelli dress with an extravagant pink sash attached to it. Nominated for Best Actress in a Leading Role, the Barbie actor completed her look with dangling earrings and loose waves.

A nod to her role in the iconic movie The Devil Wears Prada, Anne Hathaway donned a cerulean blue archival Versace dress featuring an oversized belt — befitting the occasion as she reunited with her co-stars, Meryl Streep and Emily Blunt, onstage to present an award. She teamed it with diamond jewellery and a silver clutch, making Miranda Priestly proud.

The man of the moment, Cillian Murphy, who won Best Actor in a Leading Role for Oppenheimer, donned a pinstripe suit and a silk lavaliere, courtesy of Saint Laurent — looking every bit the Thomas Shelby — a character he is known for.

Jeremy Allen White, who picked up not one but two awards for The Bear, skipped the black tux in favour of a striking white ensemble, also by Saint Laurent. His crisp white shirt, leather boots, and a diamond brooch by Tiffany & Co. rounded it off.

Co-stars Bradley Cooper and Carey Mulligan might have lost in their respective categories but exuded sophistication in their outfits. While Cooper wore a black suit from Louis Vuitton, Mulligan looked gorgeous in a strapless Armani Privé draped gown with a gold and diamond necklace.

Last but not least, Emma Stone, nominated for the leading role in Poor Things, dazzled in a metallic lace slip gown by Louis Vuitton, featuring shades of lavender and blue, embellished with sequins, pearls, and crystals. The backless detailing added to the oomph quotient. Plus, her sleek bun and drop earrings finished it off.
