Khushi Kapoor served editorial glam in Anamika Khanna’s sartorial silk jacket

When it comes to serving editorial glam, Khushi Kapoor has been making her mark in the fashion industry. With her bold and eclectic choices and collaborations with top designers in the industry, Kapoor is one of the most sought-after faces in model collection launches.

Designer Anamika Khanna’s upcoming collaboration with American fast fashion brand H&M is all set to drop on September 5, and ahead of that, the launch party held in celebration had tinsel town stars gracing the event, including Samantha Ruth Prabhu. Kapoor was also in attendance, donning a stunning embroidered jacket and skirt combination that made us go wow!

Kapoor’s floor-length fitted silk jacket bodice flared into a skirt with abstract prints in jewel tones- thick rich rubies, emeralds, golds- reminiscent of Chinese traditional clothing. With so much going on, it’s easy for the eye to get overwhelmed and confused. But Khushi kept it mindfully chic by pairing the jacket with a crisp white shirt worn underneath.

Styled by Meagan Concessio, Kapoor’s ensemble was a study in detail. The Archies actor opted for long coffin-shaped press-on nails in colours akin to the palette of her clothes and kept her hair neat in a pulled-back slick bun- providing a clean canvas for brown smokey eyes, a dramatic bold wing, chocolate lips, and lots of contour. Dainty gold earrings and a stunning gold bun clip added a touch of flair and flamboyance to her look.

Between the collar, a jewel-crusted neckpiece peeked through, adding a dash of glam.  In an interview with ELLE, Kapoor mentioned how a lot of the jewellery was repurposed and they went for a bracelet as a necklace and earrings looped around.

Talking about the outfit, she called it her “perfect definition of what Indo-Western chic would be”. “It was structured and had so many patterns and fabrics, we wanted to do something that a bit soft, and it’s still pretty, still glamorous, but didn’t overpower the outfit, while still kind of going with the vibe,” she added.
