Saving the best for last, Isha Ambani hit it out of the park in an ivory Sabyasachi lehenga for brother Anant’s wedding reception

Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant’s wedding celebrations have been a medley of designer outfits, exquisite jewellery, and impeccable makeup. As such, the groom’s sister, Isha Ambani Piramal, pulled out all the stops when it came to serving looks. From a modern-day Schiaparelli sari to Manish Malhotra ensembles, the Ambani daughter has been on the radar of fashion enthusiasts and for good reason.

And she saved her best look for the last, closing the celebrations in a custom ivory embroidered lehenga by ace designer Sabyasachi Mukherjee, which was inspired by J G Ballard’s ‘The Garden of Time‘ (yes, this year’s MET Gala theme!)

“Isha at her radiant best. We created this first-of-its-kind couture ensemble, paying homage to Indian craft with the maestro Sabya,” DietSabya wrote on Instagram, quoting Anaita Shroff Adajania, who styled the look.

The Garden of Time, a short story of speculative fiction, narrates the tale of a count and his countess who have a garden of crystal ‘time flowers’ that help them manipulate time and keep a dangerous mob of commoners at bay. Sabyasachi’s ivory lehenga goes at par with the theme down to a T.

Isha’s lehenga featured intricate ivory white roses embroidered all over and was styled with a full-sleeved high-neck blouse with delicate threadwork that gave it a textured look. She opted for a multi-layered pearls and diamonds neckpiece, a matching set of earrings, maang teeka, diamond rings, and bracelets to accessorise.

For her makeup, Isha kept it simple and chic with free-flowing blow-dried hair with chocolate highlights, nude lips, a brown smokey eye, and lots of bronzer to accentuate her features.

Earlier, the mother of two was also seen wearing white silk woven brocade lehenga “intricately adorned with real silver zardozi embroidery, an ancient art form”. Sharing details of the stunning outfit, designer Manish Malhotra wrote on Instagram: “This ensemble is complemented by a woven brocade blouse and a pure white silk dupatta, capturing the timeless allure of traditional craftsmanship.”

During the celebrations, Isha Ambani wore many show-stopping custom coutures by designers like Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla, Tarun Tahuliani, Anuradha Vakil, Torani, to Delhi Vintage Co.
