This is what Bollywood celebrities wore to the Ram Mandir inauguration in Ayodhya

Bollywood seems to have descended to Ayodhya in their ethnic best for the Ram Mandir Pran Pratishtha ceremony on Monday.

Bollywood actors Amitabh Bachchan, Abhishek Bachchan, Katrina Kaif, Vicky Kaushal, Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt and Ayushmann Khurrana, among others, were seen in attendance at the Pran Pratishtha ceremony in Ayodhya.

Seen leaving for the ceremony in the early morning hours on Monday, Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor made a dashing couple.

While Ranbir chose an ivory kurta-dhoti ensemble paired with a matching shawl adorned in grey threadwork, Alia elegantly complemented him in a stunning peacock green embroidered sari and a coordinating silk embroidered shawl. Alia’s six yards are embellished with broad gold borders and vibrant floral embroidery on the pallu.

They were spotted alongside director Rohit Shetty, who looked equally sharp in a white kurta paired with a grey blazer.

Katrina Kaif, accompanied by Vicky Kaushal, graced the Kalina airport in Mumbai in a gold silk saree featuring brocade embroidery and broad patti borders. She draped the six yards in the traditional style, allowing the pallu to elegantly fall over her shoulder while carrying the end on her other arm. Vicky donned a matching ivory badhgala kurta look, accentuated with an embroidered silk dupatta wrapped around his neck. Tan mojaris, a back-swept hairdo, and a rugged beard completed his look.

For the Ram Mandir Pran Pratishtha ceremony in Ayodhya, Madhuri Dixit Nene and her husband, Shriram Nene, opted for ethnic ensembles. Madhuri chose a heavily embellished yellow silk saree, while Shriram complemented her in a maroon kurta, matching brocade embroidered jacket, white dhoti, and tan mojaris.

Kangana Ranaut donned a traditional sari for the special occasion. Her ivory-hued ensemble featured intricate embroidery in vibrant red, orange, and gold shades, with broad patti borders, dori work, and gota patti embellishments. Kangana draped the saree in a traditional style, letting the pallu gracefully fall from her shoulder with neat pleats in the front.

Among the other celebrities in attendance was Ayushmann Khurana. The actor wore a white kurta pyjama, paired with a red jacket and a white shawl. Then there was our favourite bhidu Jackie Shroff dressed in another white ensemble, paired with his signature red stole.

The Bachchans were represented by Amitabh and Abhishek Bachchan, both of whom were dressed in matching white kurta pyjamas.
