Ishaan Khatter has been in the spotlight with his Hollywood debut alongside Nicole Kidman in The Perfect Couple. Known for his passion for biking and exploring exotic locales, Khatter comes across as a happy-go-lucky chap. In conversation with Architectural Digest of India, the actor revealed that designing his home was a race against time, completed in just under two and a half months, and that it was his priority “finding someone who could turn it into a ‘music and coffee’ kind of place.”

The magazine gave fans a glimpse of the Dhadak actor’s three-bedroom apartment along the Bandra sea face through Instagram. Here’s what we gathered.

One glance at the actor’s abode, and you can tell that he has an eye for detail. Khatter’s apartment has a muted palette of cream, off-white, and beige, contrasted with luxurious suede browns and rich blues. The mix of textures and fabrics adds depth and fullness to his living space. This reading nook has a plush sofa-cum-bed peppered with pillowy cushions and a throw, placed next to a window that brings in ample natural light. But, it’s the stunning blue book shelf with wooden panels holding scores of books, awards and memorabilia, that has us impressed.

The floor-to-ceiling linen, next to a light-textured wall, paired with a tan sofa and wooden coffee table, form the perfect backdrop for a striking, oversized lampshade. A couple of printed pillows, heavy coffee table books and brass knick knacks on the tabletop add character, while the fresh green planters add a touch of contrast, breathing life into the space.

This baby-blue doorway panel––separates the kitchen and dining area from the rest of the apartment––and features a playful print of elephants and tigers set against palm trees and banana leaves. Since the rest of the space has muted shades, this colourful element stands out and is bound to spark conversation among houseguests.

In contrast to the lighter tones of the rest of the apartment, the washroom is designed with dark indigo tiles and steel and white bathware. The copper disco ball adds a rustic and retro touch to the corner.
