Simone Biles’ dominance in the world of gymnastics was once again affirmed as she clinched her second Olympic all-around gold medal at the Paris 2024 Games. The victory was made even more dazzling with the unveiling of her custom-made, diamond-encrusted “GOAT” (Greatest Of All Time) necklace.

“It’s a little ode [the goat pendant] … I mean, a lot of people love it. They always call me the GOAT, so I thought it would be really special if I got one made,” she was quoted as saying by The Guardian after completing her victory at Bercy Arena. “The haters hate it, so I love that even more. It’s just a special part of me that I have here. In the [Olympic] village I have a stuffed goat. Just to get a reminder. Like: ‘You can go out there, you can do it. You’ve done it before. So let’s go.’”

This is not the first time Biles has leaned into her famous moniker. The gymnast previously embraced the moniker with goat-themed leotards and social media posts. However, the diamond-encrusted goat necklace she unveiled after her Paris triumph was a bold and dazzling declaration of her status. This isn’t just a piece of jewellery; it’s a symbol of her dominance, her unwavering confidence, and her undeniable legacy in the sport.

With a staggering 39 Olympic and World Championship medals to her name, Biles’ position as the most decorated gymnast in history is irrefutable. Her “GOAT” necklace is a fitting adornment for a true champion.
