You can include almond gum in any of your juices, milk, or any dessert,” shared Dr Prashanth.

She listed the following benefits

*Badam pisin is widely used to treat ulcers, acidity, bloating, stomach burns, constipation, and diarrhea.
*Badam pisin possesses cooling properties, hence it is used as a home remedy to reduce body heat.
*It has more than 90 per cent of the carbohydrates required. Hence, badam pisin helps gain weight when consumed with milk.

*It strengthens the central nervous system and boosts the immune system naturally against many diseases.
*Badam pisin is good for pregnant women as it strengthens the body and bones while playing an important role in the growth of a fetus in the womb,” said Dr Prashanth.

Dr Vinoda Kumari, deputy chief medical officer, Jindal Naturecure Institute told indianexpress.com that during the summer months, badam pisin, also called gond katira, is believed to provide relief from heat due to its cooling nature. “When combined with cold milk, rose milk, or coconut milk, it may help reduce acidity, ulcers, and stomach burns. It has outstanding antioxidant, antibacterial, and antimicrobial benefits,” said Dr Kumari.

Additionally, badam pisin is rich in dietary fibre and contains various nutrients such as proteins, calcium, and antioxidants. “It is also believed to aid digestion and promote good health. Overall, incorporating badam pisin into your diet during the summer can be a refreshing and nutritious way to beat the heat and stay healthy,” said Dr Kumari.
