Alia Bhatt doubles down on glamour for London’s Hope Gala

Alia Bhatt attended the Hope Gala last night in London, raising funds for underprivileged Indian youth in collaboration with the Salaam Bombay Foundation. Comedian Rohan Joshi, musician Harshdeep Kaur, businesswoman and philanthropist Natasha Poonawalla and director Gurinder Chadha joined her for the star-studded event.

A glimpse of Alia’s dazzling looks was shared by the Mandarin Oriental, the gala’s venue. The versatile actor dazzled in two distinct styles — an ethnic and contemporary look.

On the red carpet, she commanded attention in a maroon velvet dress embellished with diamantes. A sapphire and diamond choker necklace complemented the ensemble, while her wavy hairdo and minimal makeup added a touch of elegance.

The Hope Gala attracted prominent philanthropists and industrialists from both India and London. The beneficiary, Salaam Bombay Foundation, works with Mumbai’s at-risk children through in-school programs that build confidence, self-esteem, and encourage them to stay focused on education. Notably, Alia was born in the United Kingdom and is a British citizen.

On the work front, Alia recently wrapped shooting for Jigra, where she stars alongside rising star Vedang Raina. The movie is slated for release in September 2024.
