An intense confrontation between a Toronto pizza delivery agent and a disgruntled customer has ignited a social media firestorm, with several users calling out the customer for his unpleasant behaviour.

The viral video, lasting over five minutes, and titled “Me vs. the pizza man”, has garnered widespread attention across various platforms.

In the video, which is said to be from Toronto, Canada, a customer can be heard repeatedly insisting the delivery agent to contact his workplace, as the former pays in cash and the latter did not carry any change as the bill did not mention if it would be a cash-on-delivery order.

While the driver asks if the payment could be done via card, the unruly customer denies, saying he has always been making the payments in cash.

“You think I never ordered before? Do something, I dare you,” the customer taunts.

Amidst the verbal abuse and profanity hurled at him, the agent attempts to seek assistance from customer service. As the delivery agent makes the call, the man continues to mock and insult him.

Later, he also asks the customer service to call the customer to handle the situation. However, this has no effect on the man, who continues to make remarks on the ethnicity of the agent, calling him “Stupid brown guy” and “Dummy”.

Throughout the video, the customer adamantly demands his change, to which the driver explains his helplessness, but to no avail.

Then the agent makes an offer to get the change first and then deliver the food. However, he is met with strong resistance as the customer dares him to get back the package from his possession, which he had placed on the floor inside the premise of his apartment.

Unable to handle the situation any further, the agent calls the customer service for a second time asking if they could get the change delivered to the customer, to which they agree. The agent rushes out of the apartment leaving the food behind, with the customer continuing his tirade of abuses.

The video sparked a debate about the situation of delivery guys and the tipping culture, while the majority of viewers commented on the customer’s disruptive behaviour.
