Kate Middleton, the Princess of Wales, was allegedly seen shopping with her husband, Prince William, in a new video that came out amid widespread speculation over her absence from public duties following an abdominal surgery in January, reported a US media house on Monday.

In a video clip taken on Saturday, Kate and William were seen visiting the Windsor Farm Shop near their residence, reported TMZ. Kate was seen wearing a black hoodie and leggings while William was clad in a jeans and jacket with a cap, as per the video. The Indian Express has not independently verified the video.

An eyewitness told TMZ: “I noticed a couple choosing loaves of bread and the woman turned her face and I felt like I had seen the face before. It was familiar. I knew it from somewhere. I went to my car and as they came out of the shop I just filmed them. I think they walked out through a gate out of the grounds. They just vanished and I didn’t see a car.”

The report follows an earlier story by The Sun which said that the couple were spotted near their Adelaide Cottage home in Windsor. However, this is the first photo or video to support it.

Princess Kate has been away from the public eye since January, reportedly recovering from an abdominal surgery.

“Her Royal Highness The Princess of Wales was admitted to hospital yesterday for planned abdominal surgery. The surgery was successful and it is expected that she will remain in hospital for ten to fourteen days, before returning home to continue her recovery. Based on the current medical advice, she is unlikely to return to public duties until after Easter,” the Kensington Palace said in a statement on January 17, 2024.

In a follow-up issued on January 29, Kensington Palace said that the Princess had returned home and was making good progress from her surgery.

However, this has not prevented the public from speculating over the nature and intensity of her medical procedure. The scrutiny heightened after she shared a digitally manipulated photograph of herself on Mother’s Day last week.
