IPL 2024 Points Table update: LSG win but CSK still at third, KL Rahul and Co remain fifth

IPL Points Table 2024, Team Rankings: The Lucknow Super Giants defeated the Chennai Super Kings by eight wickets but remained fifth in the points table, with four wins from seven games.

Meanwhile, the Chennai Super Kings remained third with as many wins from as many games but a better net run rate.

At the top of the points table is Rajasthan Royals, who have six wins from seven games. Kolkata Knight Riders sit second with four wins from six games. Also in the top four are the Sunrisers Hyderabad.

At the bottom of the points table are the Royal Challengers Bengaluru, who have only won one match midway through their campaign.

The playoff scenario

RR, KKR, CSK and SRH are the four sides that are currently in the top four. The top four teams will qualify for the IPL 2024 playoffs. The top two teams will play in the first Qualifier with the winner going straight into the final. The Eliminator will be played between the teams who are placed third and fourth in the IPL 2024 standings. The winner of the Eliminator will lock horns against the losing team of Qualifier 1. The winner of the Qualifier  2 will enter the final, which will be held at May 26.
