IPL Points Table 2024, Team Rankings: Chennai Super Kings defeated Kolkata Knight Riders on Monday as the standings of the points table remained the same with CSK retaining the 4th spot and KKR staying put at 2nd.

On Sunday, The Lucknow Super Giants went third in the IPL 2024 points table after their 33-run win against Gujarat Titans at the Ekana International Stadium in Lucknow on Sunday.

Earlier, Mumbai Indians won their first game of the season after three successive losses, beating Delhi Capitals at the Wankhede Stadium on Sunday. Quickfire cameos from Romario Shepherd (39 off 10) and Tim David (45 off 21) helped MI score the fourth highest total of the season as they finished at 234/5. While Mumbai went eighth in the table, Delhi now sit at the bottom owing to the net run rate difference.

The playoff scenario

RR, KKR, LSG and CSK are the four sides, that are currently in the top four. The top four teams will qualify for the IPL 2024 playoffs. The top two teams will play in the first Qualifier with the winner going straight into the final. The Eliminator will be played between the teams who are placed third and fourth in the IPL 2024 standings. The winner of the Eliminator will lock horns against the losing team of Qualifier 1. The winner of the Qualifier  2 will enter the final, which will be held at May 26.
