Fans spot Priyanka Chopra’s ‘Malti Marie’ tattoo; what’s the symbolism behind other inks dotting her skin?

Priyanka Chopra Jonas has been serving couple goals with the photo dump of her latest sun-soaked getaway on a yacht. From sunbathing in swimsuits to lazing around in linen pajamas under the European sun and spending quality time with their daughter Malti Marie, Chopra and husband Nick Jonas are making the most of their time off in the South of France. Sharing a carousel of holiday snapshots, Chopra captioned the post, “One for the books for sure…The perfect pause with the loves of my life. Now….Ready, set, go!”

Hawk-eyed fans, however, are hooked onto the glimpse of the ink dotting the Bollywood actor’s forearm. One of the comments read, “Who Noticed a Malti Tatoo on PC’s arm?😍” while another responded with “yeah, she have it since last year 😍😍”

This is the first time Chopra has posted a proper picture of the tattoo in question, sitting snugly on the inside of her right hand – a simple line drawing documenting the side profile of her daughter’s face. Chopra and Jonas welcomed Malti Marie into their lives a year ago, via surrogacy.

What about the rest of her tattoos?

While this is definitely not the first time she has gotten inked, one of the many tattoos she has is a matching piece with Nick Jonas. Talking to British Vogue, the Mary Kom actor shared that the one on the back of Jonas’ arm is a box and an arrow, while Chopra’s is a check mark and a box behind her ears. Confused? She revealed the romantic connotation behind them, “My husband has them on his arms because when he proposed, he asked me, that I checked all his boxes, and would I check another one?”

Another prominent tattoo on Chopra’s wrist is the phrase “Daddy’s lil girl..” scrawled in her late father’s handwriting, while a few others include a map of the world on her inner bicep and three paws on her ankle, in homage to her three dogs––Diana, Gino, and Panda––who she clearly adores.
