In a unique initiative aimed at improving employee well-being, a Thai marketing agency, Whiteline Group, has introduced “Tinder Leave.” Starting in July, employees are granted paid time off to pursue romantic connections using the popular dating app.

While the exact number of days allotted for Tinder leave was not specified, the company has generously offered to cover the cost of premium Tinder Gold and Tinder Platinum subscriptions for all staff.

In a LinkedIn post, the company stated, “We give 6 months of free Tinder platinum & Tinder gold to our employees. Our employees can use Tinder leave !!!! for dating with someone☺️”

According to The Straits Times, this unconventional approach is intended to enhance employee happiness and, in turn, increase productivity. The company believes that being in love can positively impact overall well-being and contribute to a more productive work environment.

A report in The New York Post said the initiative was introduced after a staff member complained about being too busy to date. The underlying idea is that finding a romantic partner, or ‘The One,’ can significantly enhance employee happiness and productivity. To facilitate this, employees now have the flexibility to take time off to pursue dating opportunities. Those wishing to use Tinder Leave are required to give a week’s notice.

To further support their employees’ dating endeavours, Whiteline offers six months of free Tinder Platinum and Tinder Gold subscriptions. These premium memberships provide additional features such as seeing who likes you, connecting with people worldwide, and sending personalised messages with Super Likes.

This unique benefit is available to employees who have completed their probationary period and joined the company between July 9 and December 31 of this year.

Founded in Bangkok, Whiteline Group employs approximately 200 individuals. Their initiative has garnered significant attention and sparked discussions about innovative ways to improve employee satisfaction and productivity.
