Sidharth Malhotra got us swooning as he walked for Shantanu and Nikhil’s 70s inspired fashion show

Sidharth Malhotra turned heads as the showstopper for Shantanu and Nikhil’s fashion show last night, with Zeenat Aman opening the exhibit. While the models sashayed down the ramp in interesting and eclectic ensembles inspired by the 1970s era, Saba Azad took to stage to belt out a few tunes and groove to the beats.

Malhotra looked dapper in a grey ruffled collared shirt, paired with a black suede jacket with paisley motifs and matching black bell bottom pants. Polished boots and a cheeky smile completed the actor’s look for the evening.

Zeenat exuded class and elegance in a pink blouse and black trouser combo, accessorised with a pair of dark sunglasses, a classic red lip and  her silver bob. Saba looked gorgeous in a similar colour scheme- a pink crop top baring her toned midriff, black flared pants and space buns added to her cute yet edgy look.

Malhotra told Manifest that he’s been lucky to have “amazing designers to work with“ and his favourite part of his outfit “have to be the bell bottoms that they’ve brought back in this collection. Shantanu and Nikhil have a done a fab job with the material and the fabric which is very comfortable. Nice silhoutte, good accesories- it’s the best party look”.

Talking to Vogue, the Shershaah actor shared that masculine silhouettes catch his eye. He called the barware collection “retro and chic, and extremely masculine”.

Zeenat spoke about the participation of women in the workforce to be a recent trend that she has come to adore and appreciate. She also shared that one can always find “dark glasses, lip balm and of course cell phone” in her bag.

Shantanu and Nikhil’s couture show consisted of lots of glitter, animal prints, sequins and lace elements, with models walking in satin shirts, bell bottoms, corset dresses and blazers in stripes and prints. The set was designed keeping a 70s themed bar in mind, and had musicians performing live on electric guitars and a piano.
