Day 2 of India Couture Week was just as heavy on the star power after Wamiqa Gabbi and Taha Shah Badussha set the ramp on fire at Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla’s show on Day 1.

Designers Suneet Varma, and Isha Jajodia of Roseroom showed their collections on the second day at the Taj Palace in Chanakyapuri, New Delhi.

For Roseroom by Isha Jajodia, her newest collection ‘Art of Eternity’ was “a mosaic meticulously crafted with dreams and echoes of a bygone era.”

Inspired by the grandeur of French architectural landmarks, Jajodia’s designs have endeavoured to capture the intricate beauty and the lavish elegance of Versailles, with delicate lace patterns and luxurious fabrics running galore on the catwalk.

Riddhima walked the ramp in an ivory lehenga, her blouse embellished with pearl tassels, and her skirt featured intricate embroidery and a scalloped border. Rishi and Neetu Kapoor’s daughter looked beautiful with her hair flowing down in soft waves around her face.

Jacqueliene, who was the showstopper for Isha, wore a black corseted gown made of lace, with a shoulder cape billowing after her. Her hair was tied up in a suave bun to highlight the gown’s neckline and the diamonds glinting on her neck.

“Nature’s beauty blooms in these creations, drawing inspiration from French gardens and the idyllic countryside. Botanical motifs and organic elegance are seamlessly integrated into lace patterns, mimicking the forms of flowers and foliage,” Roseroom’s collection note reads.

Suneet Varma also unveiled his collection ‘Nazm’ on the second day. Drawing inspiration from India’s rich decorative art heritage, the collection infuses a contemporary twist into traditional techniques, showcasing exquisite hand-embroidered appliqué work in opulent gold and ivory hues from various parts of the country.

“A harmonious ode to the seductive allure of classic Bollywood, the collection caters to the modern Indian woman’s desire for elegance and individuality while celebrating the nation’s rich artistic legacy,” the collection note reads.

The runway was transformed to look like an enchanting white forest. The ethereal setting intertwined with the interplay of light and shadow through the delicate forest added a mystical aura that perfectly complemented Varma’s collection.

It is my heartfelt desire that each piece becomes a cherished heirloom, an extension of her unique story and dreams, passed down through generations.” he further added.
