Critically acclaimed author Stephen King has once again called out Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene.

The horror writer told her to do some "real work" after she shared a video of her appearance on The Benny Show podcast. In the clip, Greene discussed the resolution she filed that would censure Representative Rashida Tlaib—the only Palestinian-American in Congress—over her criticism of Israel.

Hamas led a surprise attack on Israel on October 7, saying it was retribution for worsening conditions for Palestinians under Israeli occupation. Israel then launched a war on the Islamist group in the Gaza Strip. As of November 7, at least 1,400 people have been killed in Israel, the Associated Press reported, while more than 10,500 people have been killed in Gaza, according to the AP, citing the Gaza Health Ministry.

Greene has accused Tlaib of inciting an insurrection at the Capitol building after a rally was held that called for a cease-fire in the Israel-Hamas war.

She has compared the rally to the insurrection that took place at the Capitol on January 6, where a mob of Donald Trump supporters attacked the Capitol Building two months after his presidential defeat. Unlike this event, Tlaib and others who took part in the rally did not break into the building.

A Capitol police spokesperson previously told Newsweek that the October 18 event was "generally a peaceful demonstration." Regardless, Greene has persisted with the insurrection claim.

She posted to X, formerly Twitter, on November 7: "What happened on October 18th is no different than what happened on January 6th when [Tlaib] incited a mob with her speech on the National Mall.

"My censure resolution forces Tlaib to face condemnation on the floor of the House."

King was quick to criticize her comment, posting to X: "Oh, do some real work for a change. Stop fulminating."

His post has received more than 400,000 views, with many people throwing their support behind the Carrie writer.

"And the people said: 'AMEN!!!'" one person wrote.

"Were police murdered and doors broken in? Not to mention what was stolen and left behind," said another.

A third added: "Easy easy easy… You as an author should know that you can't use big words that have 'no chance' of landing with your intended audience."

However, others took the opportunity to stand up for Greene in the comment section.

"What kind of REAL work have you ever done besides write some mid novels and project on X like a little baby constantly? You don't know what real work is," someone wrote.

"Oh do shut up," said another.

A different commenter replied: "Stephen you turned out to be the joke of jokes as you got older."

Newsweek reached out to a King representative for comment on Wednesday. A spokesperson for Greene refused to comment.

King also called Greene out on X on November 5 after she posted false information amid the ongoing Israel-Hamas conflict.

Are you tripping? We've given them aid and armaments for decades. https://t.co/xNQobv9bS8

Greene wrote: "Israel is literally dominating in their war with Hamas after being brutally attacked killing thousands of innocent people, and not one single American dollar has been spent on that war yet. Just think about that."

Plenty of people were quick to correct her, including King, who said the U.S. has given Israel "aid and armaments for decades."
