Republican Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene issued a dire warning on the possibility of the "next war" in America after Donald Trump's win in the Iowa caucuses.

"War. It's their next move now that Trump won so decisively in Iowa and will continue to dominate," Greene wrote in a post on X, formerly Twitter, alluding to Democrats. "Washington is on a desperate last ditch effort to keep funding their losing war against Russia and have been turning the war machine to Iran."

Greene continued, "To Washington, war is good business and feeds the defense industrial base. The media loves it too. It's great for ratings and the media keeps viewers screen locked and gripped in fear. And now that they have finally accepted Trump is going to win with historic numbers, they will use war as a campaign strategy."

"But the next war is going to suck everyone in on a level none of us want and in ways generations of us have never seen in our lifetimes."

On Monday evening, former President Donald Trump was crowned the winner in the Iowa caucuses, with the Associated Press calling the race shortly after it began. Results from the Associated Press show Trump receiving 51 percent of votes, while Florida Governor Ron DeSantis received 21 and former South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley received 19.1 percent.

"We want to come together, whether it's Republican or Democrat or liberal or conservative...We're going to come together. It's going to happen soon," Trump said during a speech after his win in Iowa.

Greene has been a long-standing supporter of Trump and has continued to criticize Democrats amid the ongoing war between Ukraine and Russia, as well as the war in Israel.

"Washington is on a desperate last ditch effort to keep funding their losing war against Russia and have been turning the war machine to Iran...The Democrats have praised their beloved 'democracy' of Ukraine and just like Ukraine Democrats would love to have a reason to delay or even cancel elections all 'for your safety,'" Greene wrote.

Several Republicans, including Greene, have criticized the defense aid packages that President Joe Biden's administration has continued to send to Ukraine. In December, Biden called on Republicans to approve an aid package worth over $100 million to Ukraine saying, "If Putin takes Ukraine, he won't stop there."

"We can't let Putin win," Biden added.

In April, Greene further criticized U.S. aid to Ukraine saying, "The United States needs to be pushing for peace in Ukraine, not funding a proxy war with Russia."

Newsweek reached out to Greene's press office via email for comment.
