Mia Khalifa Slams Tiffany Haddish

Former adult film star Mia Khalifa has lashed out at comedian Tiffany Haddish in a social media post, months after Haddish sparked uproar online regarding her February trip to Israel.

Earlier this week, a post was shared on X, formerly Twitter, that read: "I love when bad b****** are also comedians." Responding to the post, which has been viewed more than 1 million times, Khalifa, wrote: "T*ffany H*ddish you do not count as either, keep it moving."

As of press time, the post has garnered more than 380,000 views. Newsweek has contacted representatives of Haddish and Khalifa via email for comment.

While Khalifa didn't share an explanation as to why she took aim at Haddish, she has spoken out in support of Palestinians and criticized Israel during the ongoing Israel-Hamas conflict. And Haddish drew backlash when she visited Israel in February.

Haddish's late father was Jewish, and the screen star celebrated her heritage in the 2020 Netflix special Black Mitzvah.

"I'm just on the airplane. Business class, on my way to Israel," Girls Trip star Haddish said in a short video clip posted to her Instagram account.

After urging her followers to visit Israel, Haddish added: "On my way to Israel to learn and see with my own eyes."

The clip sparked a wave of backlash. Haddish lost 14,000 followers in less than 12 hours after sharing the post.

In a subsequent interview with TMZ, Haddish explained that she made the trip because she "can't believe everything that I read. I need to go see for myself. I want to talk to the actual people that's here, the people that actually experienced the situation that happened on the 7th.

"The people that actually have family members that are hostages that were taken out of their own homes, that were on their way to work driving from Palestine to Israel, working here on a daily basis, and how they were taken as well. I wanted to talk to the people. I wanted to be with the people. I wanted to see with my own eyes, hear with my own ears."

"I care about both sides," Haddish added as she got emotional during the interview. "I care about humanity. Human beings."

Israel and Hamas have been locked in a war after Hamas attacked southern Israel on October 7, 2023. Much of Gaza has since been razed in strikes from Israel, with many of its 2.3 million residents displaced.

More than 35,000 Palestinians have been killed since Israel launched its strikes, according to The Associated Press, citing Gaza health officials. Israeli officials say that roughly 1,200 people were killed in the initial Hamas attacks, during which about 250 people were taken hostage.

The United States is a top ally of Israel, but the White House has become increasingly critical of the military strikes on Gaza. Israel has also faced pressure from the international community. Several celebrities have spoken out on the conflict while others have opted to forgo public discussion of the matter.

Lebanese-born Khalifa is one of those who has been outspoken on the war. She lost business contracts after writing about Palestinian "freedom fighters" in a post on X, hours after the October 7 attacks.

Following a wave of criticism, Khalifa sought to clarify her comment in a follow-up statement on October 9.

"I just want to make it clear that this statement in no way shape or form is [inciting] spread of violence," she said in a since-deleted post. "I specifically said freedom fighters because that's what the Palestinian citizens are … fighting for freedom every day."

Playboy was one of two companies that quickly severed ties with Khalifa. She was also publicly fired from her role as an adviser at Red Light Holland, which produces and distributes magic truffles.

Defending herself at the time, Khalifa said on X: "I just wanna make sure there's 4k footage of my people breaking down the walls of the open air prison they've been forced out of their homes and into so we have good options for the history books that write about how they freed themselves from apartheid."
