Arshin is a top-order batter who can bowl seam up. Arshin has that ever-elusive skillset in Indian cricket. Arshin Kulkarni was a find of the inaugural Maharashtra Premier League. He played only in three games, but hit six more sixes (19) than any other batter in a tournament where the likes of Ruturaj Gaikwad, Kedar Jadhav and Rahul Tripathi participated. Those exploits earned him a senior team debut for Maharashtra at the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy and also an IPL contract. He was signed by Lucknow Super Giants in the IPL auction.
