WTC 2023-25 Points Table: India, Australia lead World Test Championship standings; Remaining series schedule, match dates

The ICC World Test Championship (WTC) 2023-25 cycle is approaching a close finish as the teams build towards qualification with six months of league-stage action remaining.

Earlier this week, South Africa marginally improved their standings after securing a 1-0 series win over West Indies. However, the Proteas remain fifth on the standings with a points percentage (PCT) of 38.9. India and defending champions Australia are currently in the top two spots with PCTs of 68.5 and 62.5 respectively. New Zealand (50.0) and Sri Lanka (50.0) comprise the top four. The Lankans hold the edge over the Kiwis currently based on the tie-breaker of more away wins.

As of August 19, 2024, 14 Test series are pending in the WTC 2023-25 cycle with eight teams in contention. With only four Tests left and a current PCT of 20, West Indies have been knocked out of the race for the next year’s WTC final at Lord’s.
