IPL 2024 Orange Cap update: Virat Kohli reclaims top spot from Ruturaj Gaikwad

IPL 2024 Orange Cap Holder:  Virat Kohli strode to the top of the IPL 2024’s top run scorers standings after a 27-ball 42-run innings in Royal Challengers Bengaluru’s four-wicket win over the Gujarat Titans at the Chinnaswamy Stadium on Saturday. Kohli left Chennai Super Kings’ captain Ruturaj Gaikwad in second spot with his innings. On Wednesday, Gaikwad had surpassed Virat Kohli to top the batting charts.

Rajasthan Royals batter Riyan Parag returned to the top five in the Orange Cape race after striking his fourth fifty of the season against Sunrisers Hyderabad on Thursday. Parag slammed 77 off 49 balls in a 202-run chase for RR.

IPL 2024 Orange Cap standings updated today

Every year when the Indian Premier League (IPL) season comes around, a lot of eyes are on the players who score the most number of runs in the season, thereby getting the Orange Cap.

Last season, current Gujarat Titans captain Shubman Gill won the Orange Cap with 890 runs. He was followed by Royal Challengers Bengaluru skipper Faf du Plessis who scored 730 and Chennai Super Kings Devon Conway with 672. RCB’s Virat Kohli was at number 4 with 639 while Yashasvi Jaiswal came in at 5 with 625.
