IPL 2024 Points Table update: SRH topple KKR to rise second, Delhi fall further below

IPL Points Table 2024, Team Rankings: The Sunrisers Hyderabad continued their winning streak away from home as they bested the Delhi Capitals by 67 runs at the Arun Jaitley Stadium to rise second on the points table in IPL 2024. At the halfway mark of their season, SRH now have five wins from seven games.

Meanwhile, the Delhi Capitals fell further below in the table as they lost a fifth game this season from eight outings and now sit seventh in the points table.

On Friday, the Lucknow Super Giants defeated the Chennai Super Kings by eight wickets but remained fifth in the points table, with four wins from seven games.

Meanwhile, the Chennai Super Kings are now fourth as the Kolkata Knight Riders fell to third spot.

The playoff scenario

RR, SRH, KKR and CSK are the four sides that are currently in the top four. The top four teams will qualify for the IPL 2024 playoffs. The top two teams will play in the first Qualifier with the winner going straight into the final. The Eliminator will be played between the teams who are placed third and fourth in the IPL 2024 standings. The winner of the Eliminator will lock horns against the losing team of Qualifier 1. The winner of the Qualifier  2 will enter the final, which will be held at May 26.
