IPL 2024 Orange Cap: Sunil Narine enters top 3 with maiden T20 century for KKR vs RR; Kohli tops list

IPL 2024 Orange Cap Holder: KKR all-rounder Sunil Narine bolted into the top five of the leading run-scorers of the IPL 2024 season after smashing his maiden T20 century against Rajasthan Royals at the Eden Gardens on Tuesday.

The table is, however, bound to see some more changes over the evening with RR’s Sanju Samson and Riyan Parag also in action.

On Monday, RCB star Virat Kohli extended his lead in the Orange Cap race after scoring a quickfire 42 off just 20 balls against Sunrisers Hyderabad on Monday. Even Sunrisers’ Heinrich Klaasen and Travis Head entered the top 10 with the latter scoring a century.

Earlier, Mumbai Indians’ Rohit Sharma had entered the race for the Orange Cap in IPL 2024 after he thumped 105* off just 63 deliveries in the 20-run defeat to the Chennai Super Kings on Sunday.

Every year when the Indian Premier League (IPL) season comes around, a lot of eyes are on the players who score the most number of runs in the season, thereby getting the Orange Cap.

Last season, current Gujarat Titans captain Shubman Gill won the Orange Cap with 890 runs. He was followed by Royal Challengers Bengaluru skipper Faf du Plessis who scored 730 and Chennai Super Kings Devon Conway with 672. RCB’s Virat Kohli was at number 4 with 639 while Yashasvi Jaiswal came in at 5 with 625.
