Sunrisers Hyderabad vs Mumbai Indians Playing 11, IPL 2024: In search of their first win of IPL 2024, Sunrisers Hyderabad will host Mumbai Indians at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad on Wednesday. The Pat Cummins-led SRH lost to the Kolkata Knight Riders in their opening fixture at the Eden Gardens by four runs.

Mumbai Indians on the other hand played their first game under Hardik Pandya’s captaincy but were outshined by Shubman Gill’s Gujarat Titans at the Narendra Modi Stadium by six runs.

Here is the SRH vs MI playing 11 prediction

Fazalhaq Farooqi comes in for Marco Jansen

Sunrisers Hyderabad were unable to put a tap on the runs against Kolkata Knight Riders. Proteas left-arm seamer Marco Jansen was among the chief cuprits with the ball as he went for 40 overs off just his three overs. SRH do have the services of another left-arm seamer, who can move the ball both ways in Fazalhaq Farooqi. It would be an ideal change without tampering with the combination of the team. Farooqi has had a good experience bowling under these conditions over the past few months during the ODI World Cup as well as the three-match T20I series back in January.

Nabi replaces Wood

Luke Wood had conceded in excess of 12 runs per over and was only handed the ball for two overs against Gujarat. At the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, given that they already have three frontline quicks in Jasprit Bumrah, Gerald Coetzee and captain Hardik Pandya, Mumbai may opt for Mohammad Nabi to provide an extra spin-bowling option.

Naman Dhir keeps his spot

One of the big positives for Mumbai Indians in their defeat to Gujarat Titans was the power-hitting show on offer from Naman Dhir. The 24-year-old pinch hitter from Punjab managed to score a quickfire 50 that saw him nail three fours and one six. This, after coming in to bat early in the powerplay with Ishan Kishan removed in the first over. Known for having put their confidence in young players in the past, MI are likely to give Dhir a longer rope in the playing eleven.
