Cricket IPL: The tickets for the opening match of the 17th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) to be played between Chennai Super Kings (CSK) vs Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) will go on sale from 9:30 am, Monday (March 18) on Paytm an insider.

For the fans, E-tickets will be allowed for entry into the stadium and they don’t need to carry physical copies.

The opening fixture of the tournament between CSK and RCB will be played at the M A Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai on March 22.

Defending champions CSK under their talismanic captain MS Dhoni will be looking to add one more title in their cabinet. While on the other hand, the perennial underachiever RCB under Faf du Plessis will be looking to start their campaign on a winning note.

Full IPL schedule to be announced soon

Despite the general election, the dates for which were announced on Saturday, the upcoming edition of the Indian Premier League will be held in the country in its entirety.

“Complete IPL will happen in India only. BCCI is working on the full schedule and will make it public soon,” BCCI secretary Jay Shah told The Indian Express.

The election will be held in seven phases, starting April 19, with the counting of votes on June 4. The BCCI had faced a similar situation during the 2019 general election but the IPL was held in India.

Shah, in the press release announcing the schedule for the first 21 IPL games from March 22 to April 7, had stated that the BCCI will soon finalise the schedule for the remainder of the tournament.
