Celebrity chit-chats are always fun to tune into, especially those that offer insight and interesting details about their (and their co-actors’) daily routines. This is why when actors and brothers Rohit Bose Roy and Ronit Bose Roy sat down for a conversation for the Unstoppable podcast, we knew a lot would brew. And it indeed did as the Plan actor revealed an interesting fact about model-turned-actor Dino Morea, with whom he has also shared screen space.

Talking about the time when the duo were shooting for a film together, Rohit said, “Before coming for the shoot in the morning, he used to eat cheese. I used to wonder and even ask him how he managed to eat cheese and still keep so fit, to which Dino responded, ”You don’t know, bro! Cheese is very good for your health. Look at my a*s. It’s all cheese’.”

Previously, in a 2021 conversation with Box Office India Magazine, Dino Morea had said that idli, poha, puttu, bananas, eggs, and avocadoes on toast are among his favourite breakfast options. “I’ve always believed in the magic of a good meal, especially the one that you begin your day with,” he said, adding that he was not a fussy eater. “From parathas with butter to soups, I eat everything. My diet is wholesome,” added Morea.

But is having cheese in the morning every day good for health?

Cheese can be a part of a balanced breakfast for some people, but it might not suit everyone. “Cheese is rich in protein and fats, which can provide sustained energy throughout the morning. However, it’s essential to consider portion size and individual dietary preferences,” said Shruti K Bhardwaj, chief dietician, Zydus Hospital, Ahmedabad.

For most people, a serving size of cheese is about the size of two dice or one ounce, mentioned Bhardwaj. “Consuming too much cheese, especially high-fat varieties, could lead to excess calorie intake and potential digestive discomfort. Additionally, if you have lactose intolerance or dairy allergies, cheese might not be the best choice,” Bhardwaj told indianexpress.com.

Things to keep in mind

When incorporating cheese into your morning routine, it’s crucial to balance it with other nutrient-rich foods like fruits, whole grains, and vegetables. “This ensures you’re getting a variety of vitamins and minerals to start your day right. Additionally, opt for lower-fat cheese options, when possible, to reduce saturated fat intake,” said Bhardwaj.

Ultimately, whether eating cheese in the morning is a good practice depends on individual preferences, dietary needs, and overall health goals. As with any food choice, moderation and balance are key, added Bhardwaj.
