Actor Taapsee Pannu wed longtime beau, former badminton player Mathias Boe in what looks to be a traditional Punjabi ceremony, earlier this month.

The wedding seemed to be an ultra-private affair. But fans can finally catch a glimpse of Taapsee’s wedding to Boe, thanks to some videos circulating online. The private ceremony, reportedly held in Udaipur this March, remains unconfirmed by the actor herself.

The leaked footage offers a vibrant look at the celebration. Dressed in a stunning red bridal suit that featured an angrakha style kurta and tapered pants as bottoms, Taapsee entered alongside her sister Shagun Pannu and friends to the classic song “Kothe Te Aa Mahiya”, by Jagjit and Chitra Singh. The joyous video featured the couple exchanging garlands amidst cheers and music.

The actor seems to have accessorised her look with a pair of sunglasses to keep the sun away, along with a mathapatti adorning her hair, which was tied in a braid and adorned with a traditional Punjabi paranda.

Taapsee’s choice of a red bridal suit, styled with red chooda and traditional kaleere, over a lehenga has sparked conversation among fans. This refreshing departure from the typical Bollywood bride’s attire lately, often featuring white or pink, had a lot of people questioning if white was becoming the new red.

Another leaked video, likely from the reception, shows the couple enjoying a dance to Bruno Mars’ “Just The Way You Are.” Taapsee appears in a comfortable pink jumpsuit, while Mathias complements her in a matching suit. The couple shares a joyful moment as guests cheer them on.
