The sari, a timeless symbol of Indian culture and elegance, has become the perfect canvas for self-expression. By styling this piece of garment with innovative accessories to embracing contemporary silhouettes, several Bollywood actors are serving impeccable sari goals. These leading ladies are breathing new life into the traditional garment, inspiring us fashion enthusiasts to embrace the sari with a modern twist.

Check out their looks below:

Taapsee Pannu recently shared pictures of herself from a photoshoot dressed in a sari and overcoat combination. “Hope this romance with the saree never ends,” she captioned the post. Styled by Amandeep Kaur, Taapsee adorned a silk sari by Raw Mango teamed with an overcoat by Alexander McQueen and high-waist pants — a seamless blend of desi and modern aesthetics. The Dunki actor accessorised the drape with embellished black pumps from Jimmy Choo, statement silver ear cuffs, and diamond rings. Her center-parted sleek hairdo featuring braids and silver threads completed her look.

Meanwhile, Tamannaah Bhatia opted for a green pre-draped georgette sari and bustier blouse, designed by Masaba Gupta. Promoting her film Aranmanai 4, Tamannaah’s House of Masaba sari, named ‘Trikone Draped Saree,’ costs a whopping ₹75,000. The dark green drape is embellished with Trikone embroidery on the pallu, alongside gold dori and sequin work. The silk bustier blouse featured zardozi embroidery and a square neckline. The diva paired it with gold chandelier earrings and matching strappy pumps, rounding it off with a slicked-back low bun and nude makeup.

Previously, Shilpa Shetty Kundra dazzled in a pre-draped satin sari from the homegrown label 431-88. She teamed the neutral look with Shachee Fine Jewellery, comprising a micro-mosaic classic rose pendant with Zambian emeralds and matching earrings. Her vintage beaded bag completed the look with her soft dewy makeup.

Bhumi Pednekar, too, experimented with her sari by replacing the pallu with a string of pearls cascading down her shoulder. Designed by Nikhil Thampi, the ivory creation was paired with matching straight fit pants and a pearl necklace to finish the look.
