Celeste Barber announces New Zealand return

Australian comedian Celeste Barbie is to return to New Zealand for a handful of shows in August. 

Her new show 'Backup Dancer' will visit Christchurch, Wellington and Auckland from Friday, August 2. 

Publicity for the shows says it "promises to tackle a range of big political topics from freeing nipples and inappropriately texting therapists, to what it would really be like to be Taylor Swift’s backup dancer". 

The Australian comedian has scored legions of fans including Reese Witherspoon, Amy Schumer, Chelsea Handler, Cindy Crawford and Tom Ford. 

She has also shot her own Netflix special Fine, Thanks, which was filmed at the Sydney Opera House. 

Tickets for the shows go on sale Friday, March 8.
