AM team share hilarious bloopers from show's history

AM kicked off its final ever episode with a collection of on-air bloopers from throughout the show's history.

Highlights broadcast on Friday morning showcased moments from Hilary Barry's losing the plot about an "emergency defecation situation" with Paul Henry, as well as Lloyd Burr breaking the studio set.

There was also newsreader Nicky Styris warning viewers of a "vegetarian blaze", Melissa Chan-Green mangling her words and Ryan Bridge being caught napping at the desk.

AM finishes broadcasting on Friday, having been in its current iteration since February 2022.

Earlier this year, Newshub's US-based owner Warner Bros. Discovery announced plans to close its news operation as part of a major restructure of its New Zealand business.
