AM host Lloyd Burr talks of 'regret' when sharing old school ball photos on live TV

AM presenter Lloyd Burr shared his high school ball photos to the rest of the team on Tuesday - much to the mirth of his colleagues.

The presenters had been discussing the best ways for families to prepare for the upcoming ball season when Burr sent in a series of pictures showing off his fashion from previous events.

In one he was dressed like a penguin, while in another he wore an outfit made of playing cards.

"I regret sending these through," he said after seeing the more relaxed and demure photos offered up by co-hosts Amanda Gillies and Melissa Chan-Green.

"What were you thinking?" asked Chan-Green, before Burr revealed: "I went to a lot of school balls in my day."

He also tried to justify his actions, explaining that one picture which saw him dressed like Pingu was for a reason.

"That was a nautical theme so I was like I'm going to go as a penguin."
